Creating Stylish and Sustainable Assistive Products for Earth Day and Beyond

Apr 22, 2023

Did you know that the production and use of household goods account for 60% of worldwide greenhouse gas emissions?

That number is from a study done in 2015, and we can safely assume it has increased since we spent so much time at home during the Covid-19 pandemic.

We've all seen statistics like this on climate change. We know we need to be careful about what we make - what we take out of the earth, and what we put back into it. That's why at Capella Design, we believe sustainability should be at the forefront of everything we do.

In the following video, our founder Kaly talks about three important areas that we focus on when it comes to the sustainability of our products: the materials we use, our packaging and shipping goals, and our manufacturing process. Watch the video to find out how we use recycled pop bottles in our shower stool, our mission to reduce the use of plastic bags, our focus on local production, and more.

We're excited to share what we're doing every day to be mindful of our planet. Because every day is Earth Day.

Because for us, inclusive design isn’t a side note in hospitality, it’s the future.
