AAt Capella Design, our mission has always been simple: to create accessible designs for a beautiful life. Whether someone is planning ahead, supporting a loved one, or adapting to change, their home should feel like home regardless of accessibility needs.
Over the years, we’ve focused on designing products that meet this goal. Thoughtful forms. High-quality materials. Details that blend in rather than stand out .But as our community has grown across Canada and the United States, we’ve come to understand that products are only part of the challenge.
The Planning Problem We Kept Seeing
Many people told us they struggled with confidence when it came time to plan and install support in their homes. Where should support go so it actually helps? How do you install it without changing the feel of a space? What happens if you make the wrong decision?
For many homeowners and caregivers, these questions felt heavy. Adding support can feel daunting, and mistakes can feel scary, both financially and emotionally.
We heard this consistently from people preparing their homes, navigating caregiving, or responding to a recent health change. They wanted to do the right thing, but they didn’t know who to ask for help.
Introducing Capella Design Services
Starting in March, we’re launching Capella Design Services. We're an affortable partner to support homeowners across Canada and the U.S. who want help planning accessible spaces with confidence.
Our founding team will be offering a limited number of design planning consultations focused on helping people integrate support into their homes in ways that feel intentional, calm, and visually cohesive.
After years of working in inclusive design and home environments, we’ve learned that for many, the hardest part is bringing support into a home without losing what makes it feel familiar and personal.
And that's exactly what we'll do.

A Limited Offering
To keep this work thoughtful and hands-on, we’re starting small.
Beginning in March, our founding team will take on a limited number of projects so we can stay closely involved and ensure each experience reflects the care behind our products.
